Likeonomics

Learning about Facebook ads and pondering "The Like Economy"

I'm a big fan of freakonomics and superfreakonomics, are you?

Some points:
  • Businesses are paying big money for likes; up to $2 per fan for 150,000 or more fans
  • Likes qualify prospects: when someone likes your ad and fan page, and when fans like your posts, they are opting deeper into your brand and offerings
  • Likes increase sales: people are buying into you more and increasing their own conversion rate
  • Likes prove people are paying attention: the first piece of the AIDA process - every like proves you're visible and people are paying attention
